Experts when it comes to meat for 25 years
Our company history began at the Hamburg slaughterhouse in Lagerstrasse, the traditional centre of the meat trade in Hamburg, in 1995. This is where the company’s founder, supported by an initial workforce of seven, began realising his vision. The company and its high-quality product line grew rapidly and expanded its scope of operations when it began cooperating with the Dutch family-owned business Meat Import Zandbergen. Today, more than 30 employees work for TMT to ensure high-quality products and reliable service during the import of meat and meat products from all over the world.
1995
TMT’s story of success begins at the Hamburg slaughterhouse in Lagerstrasse.
How it all began
The project is launched with eight employees, the company’s own cold storage cell at the slaughterhouse and a VW bus as its delivery vehicle.
1998
In 1998, the family-owned business Meat Import Zandbergen in the Netherlands becomes partner in our company. We begin importing beef from South America at the same time.
2005
The company leaves the site in Lagerstrasse in 2005. Since that time, company headquarters have been located directly above the refrigerated warehouse in the port so that it can be closer to the products.
TMT deliveries
While TMT also engages third-party freight carriers to make deliveries, we now have our own fleet of three lorries and can warrant flexible and fast delivery.
2009
Since 2009, we have been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zandbergen World’s Finest Meat.
2020
In January 2020, we celebrated our company’s 25th jubilee.

Zandbergen World’s Finest Meat, headquarters in Zoeterwoude, The Netherlands, is a leading protein supply company on the international stage. Zandbergen supplies the market with well over 1,000 products for the catering and retail trades and processes solely meat recognised as the highest quality according to worldwide standards.
Chilled and frozen meat is procured from the USA, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. Beef, lamb, veal, pork and poultry are imported from these countries and delivered to all EU countries, Switzerland, Norway and the United Arab Emirates. Zandbergen has been offering alternative protein products as well since 2018.
